Students will learn about supply, demand, scarcity, profits, and notable individuals who have started new businesses.

The main topic of this unit is designed to help upper elementary students understand the history of specific communities, and how individuals, events, and ideas can help shape, expand, or create communities.
Unit 6 of the Smart and Simple Social Studies Communities Guided Curriculum is about Ethnic and Cultural Celebrations. The main topic of this unit is designed to help upper elementary students understand the common characteristics of celebrations, as well as learn about the traditions and customs of a variety of holidays and festivals that are celebrated around the world throughout the year.

The main topic of this unit is designed to help upper elementary students understand characteristics and examples of historical and modern heroes, military heroes, and first responders.
