Unit 6 Section 2 of the Smart and Simple Social Studies Guided World Cultures Curriculum is the Oceania Project. After learning about the geography, history, culture, government, and economies of Australia and the Pacific Realm, students will research an animal native to this region and create a product sharing findings of important adaptations characteristics with prompts, guided questions, reflection questions, and a rubric.

This unit primarily correlates to the current TEKS 6th grade Social Studies standards (adopted 2024). It includes EVERYTHING you need to conduct a world cultures project – just print & go!
